With the holiday season fast approaching, The Postal Depot must set out guidelines for our packing/shipping customers to help maintain safe social distancing and reduce and hopefully eliminate wait times for these services.
Effective Monday, October 12, The Postal Depot will offer appointments for packing and shipping services. Here is what you need to do if you would like to make an appointment to utilize our packing/shipping services and eliminate your wait time:
YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE TO COME INTO THE POSTAL DEPOT FOR OUR ASSISTANCE TO PACK AND SHIP YOUR ITEMS.
Email us at email@example.com and tell us the following:
1. In the Subject line, write “Request for Packing/Shipping Service
2. In the body of your email, please explain the following:
a. How many separate shipments will you have?
b. What is in each shipment (is it fragile, liquid, perishable, potentially hazardous such as lithium batteries, perfume, or mercury? Do you have anything unusual, big, priceless?)
c. What day would you like to come in for help with your packing and shipping?
d. What time during that day would you like to come in? Please provide a 2-hour window (for example, “between 10 am and noon” or “between 1 and 3 pm”)
3. The Postal Depot will respond as soon as possible with confirmation of the day and the time available during your requested 2-hour window a. If a time is not available during the 2-hour window requested, The Postal Depot will let you know right away and work out a time and/or day that works for both of us
4. Besides saving time, those who have appointments for packing and shipping services will receive a 10 percent discount on shipping charges.
If you are a mailbox client who wants to pick up your mail and packages, YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME IN AT ANY TIME MONDAY-FRIDAY, 9 am – 5 pm, TO PICK UP YOUR ITEMS! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT!
